100 Days of quizzical.net

Okay, so I’ve had the domain name Quizzical.net registered for a lot longer than 100 days, but this is the hundredth day of its current, PHPBB-based incarnation.

You’ll notice first that the colors have improved to more aesthetic tones. They’re still a little too high-contrast, and I still need to change most of the forum graphics, and work out a few bugs. However, I just moved out of college, and have two rooms of stuff in my bedroom, and I need to make it fit. Bear with me, I hope to show you some major improvements before June.

Also, be sure to check out my first philosophy article on Quizzical.net.

Did I promise major improvements before June? Perhaps I meant June 2008, May was a long time ago, and I don’t remember it very clearly. But yeah, all the stuff I mentioned before still needs to be done. In the meantime, for your enjoyment, I have prepared a number of excuses for why I haven’t visited this site in 5 months. Enjoy!

    I didn’t feel like it.
It wasn’t listed on the nameservers.
    I was busy.
    I forgot that I had a website.

If Quizzical.net were a woman, she wouldn’t be talking to me anymore, and would possibly be subjecting my car to random acts of sabotage. But, at any moment during the last five months, one or more of the above excuses was true.

Why I even thought about full-saturation backgrounds is beyond me. I can only assume that I’m more sane now than I was back then. Which is good, because sanity is a helpful attribute for a webmaster to have.

Maybe I’ll fix the colors now.

Hmm, which can be fully understood, notwithstanding I still keep my site updated regularly even if no actual news, I’d find enough of them still.

Anyway, you’re welcome to subscribe to the forum. If you’d rather not, that’s cool, too. There’s not much here yet, but if I ever dig my way out of this homework, I’ll start fixing that front page. The forum is just about finished, though I will want to draw new button graphics, and, of course, attempt to populate this bulletin board.
